Trauma and Attachment

Paul and Brea worked for a long time offering "strategies" to school staff, parents and children who felt alone and under stress. They sensed the need for something different, but had not yet discovered the language of trauma and attachment that now shapes their worldview and informs their professional practice. They have since learned that people don't really need strategies. They need a safe landing place, authentic connection, and wrap-around support that promotes healing in their key relationships.

Therapeutic Services

Brea and Paul are both registered Psychologists who provide

therapeutic services to people of all ages.

They both offer:
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

They are both certified to facilitate attachment parenting programs including:
Connect Parenting
Circle of Security programs.

They lead a team of skilled practitioners who share their

passion for helping people heal and grow.

"I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgement; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship."

Our Approach

At Connections Psychological Services we are all about attachment and emotional regulation. We believe in treating the whole system, rather than working on individual parts in isolation.

There are times when we feel like we are looking for something.
Something is missing in ourselves; in our lives.

We feel alone in our problems.
We feel like we're not enough.
We want to show who we really are but we're afraid.
Finding a way through starts with being curious

about ourselves; about others; about life.
We can feel fully present in our lives when we tune in to our

own attachment needs and those of the people we love.

Our emphasis is less on skills and strategies, and more on creating

strong therapeutic relationships that help our clients grow into

the whole authentic people they were meant to be.

In addition to individual therapy we offer group programs, where clients can connect with others and learn new ways to interpret and respond to challenges within their relationships.
